Compare layouts before choosing details
Different floor plans make trade-offs visible. A larger kitchen may affect the dining area or circulation. An extra room changes the distribution of daylight and space. Discussing options side by side makes the consequences easier to understand.
Make the plan useful for execution
Once a direction is chosen, it needs development. Electrical and plumbing points, materials and finishes should all follow the same layout. Drawings and schedules give trades a practical basis for questions, quotes and preparation.
Connect decisions with the schedule
A schedule works better when it includes decisions and orders. Establish which information is needed early and who will provide it. This reveals uncertainty before it affects work on site.
